Parlance for Confluence - last updated 17 September 2026

Parlance is a Confluence app published by Coreyard. This page explains what the app stores, what it reads, and what it never does. It describes the app as it is built, not as a template.

What Parlance stores

Your glossary - terms, definitions, synonyms, reference links and scope - is stored in Atlassian's Forge app storage, inside your own Atlassian instance.

Alongside each term and each history entry, Parlance stores the Atlassian accountId and display name of the person who made the change, so that every change stays attributed and reversible. Messages you send through the in-app support panel are stored the same way, with the sender's accountId and display name. The list of glossary owners is stored as accountIds.

Where it is stored

In Atlassian's Forge storage, in your instance's region. Parlance has no server, no database and no infrastructure of its own. No data is copied outside Atlassian.

What Parlance reads

All three run as the signed-in user, never with elevated rights: Parlance can never show someone a page they could not open themselves.

It also reads a display name and group membership for a given accountId - to attribute a change and to check edit rights. It never enumerates your directory.

Assisted definitions

When you ask Parlance to draft a definition, the term, its synonyms and up to four short excerpts from your own pages are sent to a large language model hosted by Atlassian, through the Forge LLMs API.

Nothing is sent to any third party. Coreyard does not receive your prompts, does not store them, and does not train on them.

What Parlance never does

No analytics. No tracking. No third-party service. No outbound network call of any kind - the Runs on Atlassian badge on our Marketplace listing attests to this.

Retention and deletion

Data lives as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling Parlance removes its app storage, and with it your glossary, its history and the support thread.

Deleting a term moves it to the app's trash, where its last version is kept so it can be restored. A glossary owner can empty that trash at any time from the Settings tab, which erases the deleted terms and their history for good. Otherwise a term leaves the trash once it falls out of the last fifty deletions.

A message in the in-app support thread can be deleted from the thread by a glossary owner at any time.

Your rights

The data Parlance holds is your own Confluence data, under your control as the instance administrator. To ask a question, request an export or request deletion, write to parlance@bycoreyard.com, or use the Support panel inside the app.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the app changes what it stores or reads, and the date above changes with it.
